Buttock muscles, artwork C013 / 4423
Buttock muscles. Computer artwork of a posterior oblique view of the hips, showing some of the muscles (red) of the buttocks. These are shown attached to the femurs (thigh bones) and the pelvis bones. At centre left is the gluteus minimus, the smallest of the three gluteal muscles. It is covered by the two larger gluteal muscles, the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius. These two larger muscles have been removed at left, but are shown on the right hip (centre right). The lower part of the spine, ending in the sacrum and coccyx, is between the two hips. Some of the lower ribs are at top

31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the intricate details of the buttock muscles, providing a fascinating glimpse into human anatomy. In this computer artwork, we are presented with a posterior oblique view of the hips, where various muscles (highlighted in red) can be observed. The femurs (thigh bones) and pelvis bones serve as anchor points for these muscular structures. At the center left of the image, we find the gluteus minimus, which is notably smaller than its counterparts - the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius. These larger muscles have been removed on one side but are prominently displayed on the right hip. The lower part of the spine gracefully curves between both hips before culminating in the sacrum and coccyx. Additionally, some lower ribs can be seen at the top portion of this anatomical masterpiece. This illustration provides valuable insights into not only bone structure but also musculature and connective tissues that contribute to healthy joint function. It serves as a reminder of our body's complexity and how each component plays an integral role in maintaining overall well-being. With its meticulous attention to detail and scientific accuracy, this print from Springer Medizin/Science Photo Library offers an educational resource for those interested in biology, skeletal systems, or simply marveling at nature's design.
