Torso bones
Torso bones. Computer artwork of the bones of the human torso. The backbone (running vertically down the centre) is a flexible column of 26 bones (vertebrae). It encloses and protects the spinal cord, and is connected to the skull (not seen) and to the pelvis (lower centre). The bones of the pelvis articulate (connect) with both the backbone and the leg bones (not seen), and also protect the lower abdominal organs. The 12 pairs of ribs are connected to the backbone, and form a cage (upper centre) to protect the heart and lungs. The backs scapula (shoulder blade) bones articulate with the arm bones (not seen). The clavicles (collarbones) are attached to the top of the ribcage

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the intricate structure of the human torso. Created through computer artwork, it provides a detailed visualization of the various bones that make up this vital part of our body. At the core is the flexible backbone, consisting of 26 vertebrae that run vertically down the center. Serving as both a protective enclosure for the spinal cord and a connection point to both the skull and pelvis, it forms an essential foundation. Moving outward from the backbone, we observe how the bones of the pelvis articulate with both leg bones (not visible) and provide protection to lower abdominal organs. The ribcage, composed of 12 pairs of ribs connected to the backbone, forms an elegant cage in upper center region safeguarding our heart and lungs. The scapula or shoulder blade bones are also depicted here; they articulate with arm bones (not seen), enabling fluid movement in our upper limbs. Additionally, attached atops this remarkable ribcage are clavicles or collarbones which complete this intricate skeletal framework. This artful illustration not only highlights healthy anatomy but also emphasizes t
