17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Ecce Homo," or "Behold the Man," is a powerful and evocative oil on canvas painting by the renowned 17th century Italian artist, Luca Giordano. Painted around 1663-1664, this masterpiece is a prime example of the late Baroque period in European art. The painting depicts Jesus Christ, following his trial before the Sanhedrin, being presented to the crowd as the "Man of Sorrows," wearing a crown of thorns and with a rope around his neck, symbolizing his impending crucifixion. Jesus stands before the crowd, his hands bound, his gaze fixed upward as if in quiet contemplation or acceptance of his fate. His body, draped in the folds of his robe, is bathed in the warm, rich colors of the Italian sun. The painting's title, "Ecce Homo," is derived from the words spoken by Pontius Pilate as he presented Jesus to the crowd, asking them to decide his fate. This painting is a testament to the enduring power of the Christian faith and the Passion of Christ. It is a reminder of the persecution and suffering endured by Jesus, and the ultimate sacrifice he made for the salvation of humanity. The painting is now housed in the Musée du Petit Palais in Paris, where it is a cherished part of the institution's heritage art collection. Luca Giordano, also known as "Luca Fapresto," "Luca Giordano il Giovane," and "Lucca Giordano," was a prolific artist of the Baroque era, known for his dynamic use of color and dramatic compositions. His works can be found in museums and galleries throughout Europe and beyond, making him an important figure in the history of Western art.
