17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Assuerus, Haman and Esther - A Captivating Biblical Scene by Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn
EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this 17th-century print, we are transported back in time to witness a powerful biblical scene brought to life by the masterful brushstrokes of Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn. The artwork, titled "Assuerus, Haman and Esther" depicts a moment of intense spirituality and human connection. The composition showcases an elderly man seated at the front, surrounded by his family. With a shy yet self-conscious expression on his face, he is accompanied by his daughter who stands beside him with utmost devotion. This tender father-daughter bond is beautifully captured as they share a moment of deep companionship and togetherness. The artist's use of color adds depth and richness to the scene while highlighting the regal attire worn by these noble figures. The intricate details in their clothing reflect both their aristocratic status and the opulence of the Baroque era. As we delve into this old testament story from Christian tradition, we discover that Assuerus was a sovereign ruler who sought guidance from his kinfolk. Here we witness him requesting advice from Esther—a young woman known for her courage—while Haman lurks in the background with hidden intentions. Rembrandt's artistry not only brings this biblical narrative to life but also invites us to contemplate themes such as spirituality, nobility, and familial bonds. Through this print collector's treasure from Moscow's Pushkin Museum of Fine Art, we are reminded once again why Rembrandt remains one of history's greatest artists.
