Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. Our Archival Quality Photo Prints and Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on higher quality paper and the choice of which largely depends on your budget.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a vintage map titled "Map of Fiji Sumatra Borneo 1897". The intricate details and retro styling transport us back to an era when cartography was both art and science. Engraved with precision, this antique image captures the physical geography of these enchanting islands - Fiji, Borneo, Sumatra, and Java. The composition is reminiscent of an old atlas page, evoking a sense of nostalgia for exploration and discovery. The delicate lines etched on the paper depict the contours of each island's coastline while highlighting their unique features. From the vastness of Oceania to the lush forests in Borneo, every element invites us to embark on a journey through time. The dome-shaped hemisphere at the center adds another layer of intrigue to this piece. It symbolizes our fascination with understanding Earth's mysteries and serves as a reminder that there is always more to explore beyond what meets the eye. Although devoid of people or any modern navigational equipment, this photograph transports us into an era where maps were essential tools for adventurers seeking new horizons. Its vertical orientation enhances its visual impact while allowing us to immerse ourselves in its rich historical context. "The Map of Fiji Sumatra Borneo 1897" by THEPALMER is not just a mere representation but rather a gateway into worlds unknown – an exquisite fusion between artistry and geography captured through photography in 2015.
