23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the models of three iconic Soviet lunar probes, representing a significant era in space exploration. The Russian-made spacecraft depicted here symbolize the pioneering spirit and relentless pursuit of knowledge that characterized the Soviet Union's foray into lunar exploration. The first model, Luna 1, holds historical significance as it became the first human-made object to reach the Moon on January 2nd, 1959. This groundbreaking achievement paved the way for future missions and ignited an intense space race between superpowers during the Cold War. Next in line is Luna 3, which captured humanity's first-ever glimpse of the far side of our celestial neighbor. Launched on October 4th, 1959, this remarkable feat provided invaluable insights into previously unexplored lunar terrain and revolutionized our understanding of Earth's closest cosmic companion. Lastly, we have Lunokhod 1 - a moon rover that touched down on November 17th, 1970. This robotic explorer traversed approximately ten kilometers across the lunar surface over a period of eleven months. Its mission not only gathered valuable scientific data but also demonstrated mankind's ability to remotely operate complex machinery beyond Earth. Through these meticulously crafted models displayed in this photograph from Science Photo Library, we are reminded of humanity's insatiable curiosity and determination to unravel the mysteries hidden within our universe. These Soviet lunar probes stand as testament to mankind's indomitable spirit in pushing boundaries and venturing into uncharted territories for scientific progress.
