DNA helix on circuit board

DNA helix on circuit board. Computer artwork representing the fusion of computers and humans to form cybernetic beings, or the use of computers in genetic engineering to design improved humans. A molecule of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) consists of two helical chains coiled around the same axis, each chain consisting of alternate phosphate and sugar groups. The chains are held together in a double helix by the hydrogen bonds formed between nucleotide bases attached to the two chains. There are four bases; adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and thymine (T). The sequence of the bases in the molecule forms the genetic code

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the fusion of computers and humans, symbolizing the emergence of cybernetic beings or the utilization of computers in genetic engineering to enhance human capabilities. The artwork features a DNA helix elegantly intertwined with a circuit board, representing the harmonious integration of technology and biology. The intricate structure of DNA is beautifully illustrated in this electronic artwork. Composed of two helical chains coiled around the same axis, each chain consists of alternating phosphate and sugar groups. These chains are held together by hydrogen bonds formed between nucleotide bases attached to them. Adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T) are the four bases that make up the genetic code within DNA. The conceptual nature of this image highlights both biochemistry and molecular biology as key components in our technological advancements. It emphasizes how biotechnology has paved the way for breakthroughs in genetics, allowing us to understand heredity on a deeper level. With its striking combination of structural elements from electronics and genetics, this print serves as a reminder that science continues to push boundaries by exploring new frontiers where humanity merges with cutting-edge technologies.
