Brain. Computer artwork of a human brain (top view)

Brain. Computer artwork of a human brain (top view). The front of the brain is at right. The brain is the nerve centre that controls bodily functions and thought. The convoluted surfaces of the cerebrum are seen here. This is the largest and most developed part of the brain. It envelops much of the rest of the brain. Its outer layer is the grey matter of the cerebral cortex that controls intelligent thought, language and memory

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the intricate beauty and complexity of the human brain. In this top view, we are presented with a computer artwork that highlights the symbolic nature and remarkable symmetry of this vital organ. The front of the brain is positioned on the right side, serving as a nerve center that governs both bodily functions and thought processes. The convoluted surfaces of the cerebrum take center stage in this image, revealing its status as the largest and most developed part of our brain. Enveloping much of its counterparts, it plays a crucial role in our cognitive abilities. Its outer layer, known as grey matter or cerebral cortex, assumes control over intelligent thought, language comprehension, and memory retention. With its folded appearance resembling intricate origami-like patterns, this illustration serves as a reminder of how biology can be visually stunning. Each fold represents an essential aspect within our anatomy - an organ responsible for shaping who we are. As we delve into this mesmerizing portrayal captured by Science Photo Library's lens, we gain insight into not only our biological makeup but also conceptual ideas surrounding neuroscience. This image invites us to explore concepts such as symmetrical hemispheres and convoluted folds while reminding us that every crease holds immense significance within our central nervous system (CNS).
