23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to the 24th of February, 1983. Pupils Gary Stubbs and Jamita Patel, both aged 14 and attending Springfield School, stand united as they point towards empty shelves that were once filled with books. The stolen books represent a disheartening act of theft that has left their school's educational resources depleted. This powerful image captures the essence of a generation's thirst for knowledge and the importance of education in shaping young minds. As children of the 20th century, these pupils symbolize resilience in the face of adversity. Their determination to learn is evident through their unwavering commitment to pointing out this unfortunate incident. The photograph serves as a reminder not only of the theft itself but also highlights broader issues surrounding access to education and resources for schools during that era. It prompts us to reflect on how such incidents impact students' ability to acquire knowledge and develop academically. Through this lens, we witness two individuals who refuse to be discouraged by setbacks; instead, they choose solidarity in raising awareness about an injustice suffered by their school community. This snapshot encapsulates the power of unity among pupils striving for a brighter future despite challenges faced along their educational journey. As we admire this poignant moment frozen in time, let it serve as an inspiration for generations present and future – reminding us all that education is invaluable and worth fighting for.
