31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Flora, ca. 1654 - A Captivating Depiction of Feminine Grace and Divine Beauty

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This mesmerizing print showcases Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn's masterpiece, "Flora" painted around 1654 during the Dutch Golden Age. Inspired by his late wife Saskia, this portrait exudes a sense of ethereal charm and elegance that transcends time. In this artwork, Flora stands as a symbol of fertility and abundance, her hand gesturing gracefully towards the heavens. Dressed in a vibrant yellow skirt with a white blouse and hat adorned with flowers, she embodies the essence of femininity. Rembrandt's meticulous brushstrokes bring out every intricate detail of Flora's attire, highlighting the rich colors and textures that were characteristic of Dutch fashion during the seventeenth century. The artist masterfully captures both the physical beauty and inner radiance that make Flora appear almost divine. As one gazes upon this oil painting on canvas at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, they are transported back to an era where artistry flourished alongside religious devotion. Rembrandt's skillful portrayal not only immortalizes his beloved wife but also pays homage to Dutch heritage art. The juxtaposition between Flora looking away from us yet engagingly gesturing towards something beyond our view adds an air of mystery to this enchanting piece. It invites viewers to contemplate their own connection with spirituality while marveling at Rembrandt's genius.
