17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases Arthur Joseph Woolmer's oil painting titled "Dora, 1883". The artwork measures 61.6x52.1 cm and is part of a private collection. Woolmer beautifully illustrates Tennyson's poem, Dora, through his meticulous brushstrokes on canvas. The scene depicted in the painting takes place outdoors during the night in the nineteenth century countryside. Bathed in natural moonlight, a young girl with red hair can be seen dozing off while sitting on the ground. She is surrounded by a small group of people, including a man and another farmworker. Woolmer's Victorian art captures the essence of rural life and agricultural occupations prevalent during that era. The darkness of the night contrasts with the soft glow emanating from the moon above, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The composition evokes feelings of affection and tranquility as it portrays a moment frozen in time—a snapshot of love and care within nature's embrace. The child's expression suggests peaceful sleep under the watchful gaze of those around her. This mid-nineteenth-century masterpiece invites viewers to immerse themselves in its poetic narrative—an invitation to explore themes such as youthfulness, human connection, and our relationship with both nature and each other. Bridgeman Images has expertly captured this fine art piece through their photography skills, allowing us to appreciate every detail without commercial use intentions but rather for pure admiration of British art history at its finest.
