A2 (59.4 x 42cm) Poster Print

A2 Poster (59.4 x 42cm, 23.4" x 16.5" inches) printed on 170gsm Satin Poster Paper. Securely packaged, rolled and inserted into a strong mailing tube and shipped tracked. Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. Our Archival Quality Photo Prints and Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on higher quality paper and the choice of which largely depends on your budget.

Estimated Image Size (if not cropped) is 59.4cm x 37.6cm (23.4" x 14.8")

Estimated Product Size is 59.4cm x 42cm (23.4" x 16.5")

These are individually made so all sizes are approximate

Artwork printed orientated as per the preview above, with landscape (horizontal) orientation to match the source image.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the Hermes detector, a groundbreaking scientific instrument located in Hamburg, Germany. The Hermes detector is at the forefront of particle physics research and plays a crucial role in unraveling the mysteries of subatomic particles. Nestled within the esteemed German Electron Synchrotron (DESY) laboratory, this state-of-the-art detector is operated by a team of dedicated scientists and technicians. Its primary function is to study protons and neutrons using high-energy collisions generated by the HERA accelerator, also housed at DESY. The Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator (HERA) creates an environment where quarks - fundamental building blocks of matter - can be studied with unparalleled precision. The Hermes detector captures these elusive particles as they interact with one another, providing invaluable insights into their properties and behavior. With its intricate design and cutting-edge technology, the Hermes detector represents years of meticulous research and engineering expertise. It stands as a testament to human curiosity and our relentless pursuit of knowledge about the universe we inhabit. This remarkable image from Science Photo Library allows us to marvel at both the physical beauty and intellectual significance behind this extraordinary piece of scientific equipment. It serves as a reminder that advancements in particle physics continue to push boundaries, deepening our understanding of nature's most fundamental constituents: protons, neutrons, quarks – all waiting patiently for their secrets to be unlocked by diligent researchers like those working tirelessly at DESY's particle physics laboratory.
