Cassini spacecraft

Cassini spacecraft. Computer artwork of the Cassini spacecraft approaching Titan, Saturns largest moon. Cassini was launched in October 1997 and will reach Saturn in July 2004. It will orbit Saturn for four years, studying the planet, its rings and its moons. Cassini is carrying the disc-shaped Huygens probe (brown) on its underside. In December 2004, the probe will separate from the orbiter and enter Titans atmosphere. The Huygens probe is expected to transmit data from Titans surface for up to 30 minutes

A2 Poster (59.4 x 42cm, 23.4" x 16.5" inches) printed on 170gsm Satin Poster Paper. Securely packaged, rolled and inserted into a strong mailing tube and shipped tracked. Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. Our Archival Quality Photo Prints and Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on higher quality paper and the choice of which largely depends on your budget.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the remarkable Cassini spacecraft as it approaches Titan, Saturn's largest moon. In this computer artwork, we witness the culmination of years of scientific research and exploration. Launched in October 1997, Cassini is set to reach its destination in July 2004, embarking on a four-year mission to study Saturn, its magnificent rings, and its enigmatic moons. The disc-shaped Huygens probe can be seen attached to the underside of Cassini. This ingenious probe will separate from the orbiter in December 2004 and venture into Titans atmosphere. As it descends towards the moon's surface, Huygens is expected to transmit invaluable data for approximately 30 minutes. This awe-inspiring image symbolizes humanity's insatiable thirst for knowledge about our universe. It represents countless hours of meticulous planning by scientists and engineers who have dedicated their lives to unraveling the mysteries of space. As we gaze at this illustration, we are reminded that space exploration knows no boundaries or limitations. The Cassini spacecraft embodies our collective curiosity as it navigates through the vastness of our solar system with precision and grace.
