Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. Our Archival Quality Photo Prints and Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on higher quality paper and the choice of which largely depends on your budget.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Plate 5: Rhopocichla atriceps, the Dark-fronted Babbler, is depicted in this stunning watercolor illustration by Margaret Bushby Lascelles Cockburn from her comprehensive work "Neilgherry birds and Miscellaneous," published in 1858. The Dark-fronted Babbler is a passerine bird belonging to the family Timaliidae, order Passeriformes, and class Sauropsida. The bird is shown perched on a branch, displaying its distinctive dark front and long, grey-brown back and wings. The breast of the bird is a rich, chestnut brown. Margaret Bushby Lascelles Cockburn (1829-1928) was a prolific and accomplished natural history artist, whose works were widely admired for their meticulous attention to detail and lifelike accuracy. This illustration, like many of her others, showcases her exceptional skill in capturing the anatomy and character of the bird in its natural habitat. The Dark-fronted Babbler is a small bird native to the Indian subcontinent, with a dark face and chest, and a long, curved beak. It is a common bird in its range, and can be found in a variety of habitats, including forests, grasslands, and scrublands. Despite its widespread distribution, it remains an intriguing and beautiful addition to the avian world, and continues to captivate ornithologists and naturalists alike with its unique appearance and behaviors. This illustration offers a glimpse into the rich biodiversity of the natural world as it was documented during the nineteenth century, and serves as a testament to the enduring beauty and importance of natural history art.
