The Dark-fronted Babbler is a passerine bird belonging to the family Timaliidae, order Passeriformes, and class Sauropsida. The bird is shown perched on a branch, displaying its distinctive dark front and long, grey-brown back and wings. The breast of the bird is a rich, chestnut brown. Margaret Bushby Lascelles Cockburn (1829-1928) was a prolific and accomplished natural history artist, whose works were widely admired for their meticulous attention to detail and lifelike accuracy.
