Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. Our Archival Quality Photo Prints and Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on higher quality paper and the choice of which largely depends on your budget.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This image is a pencil sketch and watercolor drawing of an Orcinus orca, also known as a killer whale, from the collection of Edward Adrian Wilson (1872-1912). The Orca is the largest member of the dolphin family, and the largest of all the toothed whales. This magnificent creature is commonly referred to as the 'killer whale' due to its predatory behavior towards other marine animals. The Orca's sleek, black and white body is perfectly adapted to its aquatic habitat. Its large, conical teeth are used for grasping and holding onto prey, while its powerful tail propels it through the water with incredible speed and agility. Orcas are found in all oceans and seas, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and are known to travel in pods of up to 40 individuals. This beautiful illustration, created in the late 19th century, showcases the Orca in its natural daytime environment, gracefully moving through the water. Edward Adrian Wilson, a British naturalist and polar explorer, was a prolific illustrator and collector of mammal specimens. His meticulous drawings and sketches, like this one, provide us with a fascinating glimpse into the natural world of the past. Wilson's work is an invaluable contribution to the scientific community, documenting the anatomy and behavior of various mammals, including the Orca. His illustrations continue to captivate and inspire us, reminding us of the beauty and diversity of the natural world. This image is a testament to Wilson's skill as an artist and his dedication to documenting the natural world. It is a reminder of the importance of preserving and studying the world around us, and the role that art and illustration play in advancing our understanding of the natural world.
