Environmentally and ozone friendly, the Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. This image is a pencil sketch and watercolor drawing of an Orcinus orca, also known as a killer whale, from the collection of Edward Adrian Wilson (1872-1912). The Orca is the largest member of the dolphin family, and the largest of all the toothed whales. This magnificent creature is commonly referred to as the 'killer whale' due to its predatory behavior towards other marine animals. The Orca's sleek, black and white body is perfectly adapted to its aquatic habitat. Its large, conical teeth are used for grasping and holding onto prey, while its powerful tail propels it through the water with incredible speed and agility. Orcas are found in all oceans and seas, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and are known to travel in pods of up to 40 individuals.
