In this intriguing photograph from the late Victorian era, we witness the fascinating process of extracting cocoa butter using hydraulic presses at a small-scale production facility. The image, taken in 1893, captures the dedication and hard work of the men operating the machinery, as they transform raw cocoa beans into valuable cocoa butter.
