Merlin de Thionville: A French Statesman of the Revolutionary Epoch This portrait depicts Merlin de Thionville, a prominent French statesman of the Revolutionary epoch. Born in 1762, Thionville played a significant role in the political landscape of France during a time of immense change and upheaval.
