George Stephenson's Rocket - the pre-1923 replica. George Stephenson's Rocket Locomotive was built in 1829. Built for the Rainhill Trials held by the Liverpool & Manchester Railway. The earliest full-size replica of Rocket is the one seen on this photograph. Date: circa 1920
