The Yellow-bellied Glider (Petaurus australis) is a species of marsupial found in Australia, and are one of the largest gliding mammals, with a body length of up to 40 cm and a wingspan of up to 60 cm. They have yellowish fur on their belly, grey fur on their back and white fur on their face. These animals are nocturnal and arboreal, meaning they spend most of their time in trees. At night they glide between trees using their large membrane which extends between their front and hind legs allowing them to cover distances up to 150 metres.
