This print showcases a remarkable specimen of Chalcophyllite, discovered in the Wheal Gorland mine located in St Day, Gwennap, Cornwall, England. The coarse crystals of this secondary mineral are truly mesmerizing and have been beautifully captured by photographer Andy Tindle. Collector Philip Rashleigh described these transparent six-sided thin crystals as being composed of copper ore. Intermingled with them are eight-sided crystals of green copper ore upon red copper ore mixed with white pyrites.
