Frau im Mond advert. The science fiction silent film Woman in the Moon (German: Frau im Mond), released in 1929, was written and directed by Austrian film-maker Fritz Lang, based on a novel by his wife Thea von Harbou (both credited at lower left). It was one of the earliest science fiction films, and brought the concept of rocket travel to the public. The film, produced by the German film company UFA (Universum Film AG) in Berlin, was not a success at the box office. One of the films consultants was the German rocket pioneer Hermann Oberth. This advert appeared in volume 11 (1929) of the German film news sheet Film-Kurier
