Navy Seabees dismantling an Elevated Causeway Modular

Navy Seabees are dismantling an Elevated Causeway Modular ECLAS(M) consisting of 8 x40 modular sections cantilever erected over the water. A 140 ton crane lifts the modular sections from the pier posts and loaders drive up the causeway and remove the sections to the nearby beachhead. This was all part of a larger Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS) at Camp Pendleton, California, a joint training exercise involving landing and transporting vehicles without a fixed port and 2, 500 service members consisting of 50-50 soldiers and sailors with approximately 50 marines
