Eris Collection

Eris is a dwarf planet located in the Kuiper belt beyond Neptune. It was first discovered in 2005 and is the ninth largest object orbiting our sun. Eris is similar to Pluto, but slightly larger and more massive than Pluto. Its surface temperature ranges from -240°C to -220°C, making it one of the coldest objects in our solar system. Eris has an orbital period of 557 years, meaning that it takes 557 years for it to make one complete orbit around the sun. It also has two moons: Dysnomia and Gabrielle. The moons are both very small compared to Eris itself, with Dysnomia being only about 1/10th of its size and Gabrielle being even smaller at 1/100th of its size. Scientists have studied Eris extensively since its discovery, learning more about its composition, atmosphere, and other characteristics that help us understand our solar system better.
