17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This vintage World War II propaganda poster captures the essence of American patriotism and military power. The illustration technique used in this print brings to life General Douglas MacArthur, a revered figure during the war, alongside a fleet of bomber planes soaring through the sky. The vibrant colors of white, black, and red add intensity to the midair action. The poster's message is clear: "More Power To Him! Get 'Em Flying". It serves as an advertisement for recruitment and encourages support for the war effort. This form of communication was instrumental in rallying public sentiment and boosting morale on the home front. General MacArthur's authoritative presence exudes confidence, honor, and respect. As an officer in the US Air Force, he symbolizes leadership and responsibility. His iconic hat further emphasizes his status as a military figurehead. This artwork evokes nostalgia for a bygone era when America united against a common enemy. It represents not only historical significance but also reflects American culture during World War II. The Western script text adds authenticity to its retro charm. John Parrot's digital enhancement enhances this already captivating image by highlighting its details without altering its original essence. Although no people are depicted directly in this print, it encapsulates the spirit of those who fought bravely during one of history's most significant conflicts - World War II.
