23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

1. Title: "Lode Star: A Blast from the Past - Star Class Locomotive No. 4003 at the Steam Museum of the Great Western Railway" 2.. Step back in time and feast your eyes on this magnificent piece of railway history - Star Class locomotive No. 4003, affectionately known as "Lode Star," at the Steam Museum of the Great Western Railway. Built in February 1907, this 4-6-0 steam locomotive is a true testament to the engineering prowess of the early 20th century. The Star Class, designed by George Jackson Churchward, was a significant advancement in locomotive technology for the Great Western Railway (GWR). With its powerful 4-cylinder compound engine and advanced boiler design, the Star Class locomotives were capable of pulling heavy loads over the challenging terrain of the Cotswold Hills and the Severn Tunnel. No. 4003, Lode Star, was named after the mineral 'lode,' which refers to a vein or seam of mineral deposits. This locomotive saw active service on the GWR lines until the late 1920s, when it was eventually retired. Today, Lode Star is preserved and maintained at the Steam Museum of the Great Western Railway, where it continues to inspire awe and fascination among visitors. The museum offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the history of the GWR and the role steam locomotives played in shaping the railway network of the UK. As you stand before Lode Star, you can almost hear the rhythmic clanking of the steam engine and the hiss of escaping steam. This image is a reminder of the romance and adventure that once defined railway travel and the engineering marvels that made it possible.
