Neck muscles, artwork C014 / 5065

Neck muscles. Computer artwork showing the muscles at the front of the neck. The two muscles going down the length of the cervical spine are the longus colli muscles. The muscles emerging from beneath the jaw and attaching to the vertebrae are the longus capitis muscles. Both these sets of muscles act to flex and rotate the head. The outer three muscles on each side of the neck that attach to the ribs are the scalene muscles. These muscles flex the head to the same side and elevate the first and second ribs

31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print titled "Neck Muscles, Artwork C014 / 5065" offers a detailed glimpse into the intricate anatomy of the neck. The computer artwork showcases various muscles and bones that make up this vital part of the human body. At the forefront are two prominent muscles known as longus colli, which run along the length of the cervical spine. Adjacent to them are the longus capitis muscles, emerging from beneath the jaw and attaching to vertebrae. Together, these muscle groups play a crucial role in flexing and rotating our heads. Moving towards the outer sides of the neck, we encounter another set of muscles called scalene muscles. These powerful structures not only aid in flexing our heads to one side but also elevate our first and second ribs. The image provides an exceptional view from below, showcasing how these muscular components interact with each other within our musculoskeletal system. Additionally, it highlights key anatomical features such as cervical vertebrae, vertebral column, hyoid bone, and rectus capitis. With its emphasis on biology and healthy anatomy, this print serves as a valuable resource for medical professionals or anyone interested in understanding the complexity of our neck's musculature. Its meticulous detail invites viewers to appreciate both its scientific significance and artistic beauty simultaneously.
