Cassini spacecraft near Titan

Cassini/Huygens spacecraft. Artwork of the Cassini spacecraft approaching Titan, one of the moons of the ringed planet Saturn. The dish-shaped, detachable Huygens probe appears beneath Cassini. Cassinis radio antenna (white, at upper left) is also seen. Once released from Cassini, Huygens will enter the atmosphere of Titan and carry instruments down to its surface. Cassini will orbit Saturn for four years, and will study the planet, its rings, and its moons. Cassini is due to be launched in October 1997 and is expected to reach Saturn in July 2004. The Huygens probe will enter Titans atmosphere in November 2004

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This artwork captures the Cassini spacecraft on its epic journey towards Titan, one of Saturn's mesmerizing moons. The image showcases the sleek and sophisticated design of Cassini as it approaches its destination, with the detachable Huygens probe visible beneath it. The dish-shaped probe is poised to embark on a daring descent into Titan's atmosphere, equipped with cutting-edge instruments that will unravel the mysteries of this enigmatic moon. The white radio antenna of Cassini stands out against the vastness of space in the upper left corner, symbolizing constant communication between Earth and this ambitious mission. This groundbreaking endeavor represents years of meticulous planning and scientific ingenuity. Cassini's primary objective is to orbit Saturn for four years, conducting an extensive study not only of the planet itself but also its magnificent rings and diverse collection of moons.
