City Demolition Dock Landmark Merseyside Radio City Tower River Mersey Scenic 1989 Grain Silo

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Views of Liverpool, including St. Johns Beacon. 13th July 1989

EDITORS COMMENTS
captures the essence of this vibrant city in the heart of Merseyside during a pivotal moment in its history. Eddie Barford's skillful photography transports us back to the 1980s, offering a nostalgic glimpse into Liverpool's urban landscape. In this print, we witness the juxtaposition of old and new as iconic landmarks such as St. Johns Beacon and Radio City Tower stand tall against a backdrop of bustling docks and grain silos. The image encapsulates an era when Liverpool was undergoing significant changes, with demolition projects reshaping its skyline. The River Mersey gracefully flows through the frame, serving as both a lifeline for trade and a picturesque element that adds depth to the composition. This scenic waterway has long been intertwined with Liverpool's identity, symbolizing its historical connection to maritime commerce. Barford's lens beautifully captures not just architectural marvels but also the spirit of this dynamic cityscape - one filled with energy and potential. It is evident that he possesses an innate ability to freeze moments in time while conveying emotion through his artistry. As we gaze upon this evocative photograph from Memory Lane Prints' collection, our minds are transported back to that summer day in 1989 when Liverpool revealed itself in all its glory – proud, resilient, and ready for whatever lay ahead on its journey towards modernity.
