17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back in time to Winner Street, Paignton before the devastating fire of June 1927. The image captures a bustling street scene from the 1920s, showcasing the charm and vibrancy of this quaint English town. As we gaze upon this snapshot from history, it is impossible not to be drawn into the nostalgia and allure of a bygone era. The photograph offers a glimpse into everyday life during that period - men in smart suits and bowler hats strolling along the cobbled streets, women elegantly dressed in fashionable attire with parasols shielding them from the sun. The shopfronts lining Winner Street display an array of goods, enticing passersby with their colorful displays. Little did anyone know at that moment captured by Mirrorpix's lens that tragedy would strike just months later when fire engulfed this very street. This image becomes even more poignant as we reflect on what was lost during that fateful event. Winner Street stands as a testament to resilience and community spirit, rising from its ashes to become an emblematic symbol of strength for Paignton. This print serves as a reminder of both the fragility and endurance inherent in our human experience. As we admire this historical gem preserved through Memory Lane Prints, let us take a moment to appreciate our shared past while cherishing those who rebuilt Winner Street after such devastation—a true testament to unity and determination within England's southwest region.
