31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from 1975, we are transported back in time to witness a heartwarming event organized by the London Taxi Drivers Fund for Underprivileged Children in partnership with The Grosvenor House. This extraordinary occasion took place during Christmas season at the prestigious Great Room of Grosvenor House, where over 800 physically handicapped and deaf children were invited. The highlight of the day was none other than the legendary actor, comedian, and singer Michael Crawford himself. As he made his grand entrance on an elephant, excitement filled the air as children eagerly awaited his arrival. With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Crawford shared a delightful tale with the young audience - Nellie the elephant had apparently caused quite a commotion by leaving an unexpected surprise in the goods lift! This enchanting moment captured by Alisdair Macdonald not only showcases Crawford's charismatic presence but also highlights the immense joy brought to these underprivileged children through acts of kindness and entertainment. It serves as a reminder that even amidst challenging circumstances, there is always room for laughter and magic. This photograph stands as a testament to both compassion and community spirit while shedding light on important charitable initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on society. It encapsulates an era when renowned personalities used their fame for noble causes – reminding us all of our collective responsibility towards those less fortunate.
