23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to the historic Forthbank Stadium on September 26th, 1995. It captures a momentous occasion as rugby legend Gavin Hastings takes to the field for his last big-game appearance before retiring from international play after the World Cup. As captain of the Barbarians, Hastings leads his team against Stirling County in what promises to be an exhilarating match. However, there is more significance to this game than meets the eye. It symbolizes County's remarkable journey from Division Seven all the way up to becoming national champions—an inspiring feat that showcases their determination and talent. Adding even more excitement to this eventful day is Princess Anne, patron of the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU), who graces Forthbank Stadium with her presence. She will have a chance to watch her son Peter Phillips showcase his skills as he plays for Gordonstoun School XV against Countys Under-18s in a curtain-raiser match scheduled for 2:15 PM. This photograph encapsulates not only a thrilling moment in sports history but also highlights the deep-rooted connections between royalty and rugby in Scotland. Torrance skillfully captures these elements through his lens, allowing us to relive this unforgettable day filled with passion and achievement within the world of rugby union during the vibrant era of the 1990s.
