17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

A Yurt in Cross-Section: A Glimpse into the Heart of Kazakhstan's Rich Cultural Heritage (250 words) This evocative photograph captures the essence of the traditional Kazakh yurt, showcasing its intricate design and the warmth of a family's shared meal. The yurt, a portable, circular tent used by the nomadic people of Central Asia, is depicted in cross-section, revealing its ingenious structure and the cozy interior. At the heart of the yurt lies a cauldron for cooking, a testament to the yurt's practicality and the importance of community and family. The family, gathered around the cauldron, shares a meal, their faces illuminated by the flickering light of the fire. The scene is a poignant reminder of the enduring bond between the Kazakh people and their ancestral traditions. The yurt's interior is adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant colors, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The walls, made of felt and wooden lattice, are adorned with intricate designs, each one unique to the family that dwells within. The yurt's central opening, or "throat," allows for the smoke from the fire to escape, while also providing a connection to the outside world. This photograph, taken in the 20th century, offers a glimpse into the past, transporting us to a time when the Kazakh people lived in harmony with nature, moving from one pasture to another with their herds. The yurt, a symbol of their nomadic way of life, remains an enduring testament to their resilience and ingenuity. In conclusion, this photograph of a yurt in cross-section offers a unique perspective on the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The warmth of the family's shared meal, the intricate design of the yurt, and the connection to the natural world all come together to create a powerful and evocative image that resonates with the human spirit.
