23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin: A Monumental Tribute to a Revolutionary Leader". This evocative photograph captures the imposing figure of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870-1924), the Russian Marxist revolutionary and communist politician, immortalized in a monument built by Pavel Bondarenko in 1957 for the 40th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution in Sevastopol, Ukraine. Lenin, born in the late 19th century, was a pivotal figure in the history of Russia and the world. He led the Bolsheviks to victory in the Russian Revolution of 1917, which marked the end of the Russian Empire and the beginning of the Soviet Union. Lenin served as the Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars, effectively the head of government, from 1917 until his death in 1924. Lenin's political ideology was rooted in Marxism, and he is often referred to as the father of the Russian Revolution and the architect of the world's first socialist state. His leadership and policies, including the establishment of the Cheka secret police, the nationalization of industries, and the collectivization of agriculture, had a profound impact on the course of Russian and world history. This monument, sculpted by Pavel Bondarenko, stands as a testament to Lenin's enduring legacy. The statue, which depicts Lenin in his later years, is a powerful symbol of the revolutionary spirit that swept through Russia and the world in the early 20th century. The monument, located in Sevastopol, a city with a rich history and strategic importance, serves as a reminder of the pivotal role that Ukraine played in the Russian Revolution and the rise of communism. This photograph, taken in the mid-20th century, offers a glimpse into the past and the historical significance of Lenin and the Bolsheviks. It is a reminder of the political and social upheavals that shaped the modern world and the enduring impact of revolutionary leaders on history.
