23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "Anubis and Amenkhopshef: A Timeless Bond in the Tomb" The captivating image before you unveils a glimpse into the ancient Egyptian burial chamber of Amenkhopshef, a cherished son of Ramses III, nestled in the Valley of the Queens. This Twentieth Dynasty tomb, adorned with polychrome reliefs, showcases the mythological bond between the deceased and the god Anubis. Anubis, the jackal-headed deity of mummification and the afterlife, is depicted on the right-hand side of the image. His iconic headdress, crowned with the Deshret crown, symbolizes his role as the god of embalming and burial. Anubis is often shown with his hands in a protective gesture, holding the symbolic Ankh, the hieroglyph for life, and a scepter, signifying dominion over the dead. Amenkhopshef, the tomb's namesake, is believed to have been a high-ranking official during the reign of Ramses III. The polychrome reliefs on the tomb's walls depict various scenes from Egyptian mythology, with Amenkhopshef receiving offerings from the gods and being protected by Anubis. The hieroglyphics and hieratic texts inscribed on the tomb's walls tell the story of Amenkhopshef's journey into the afterlife, emphasizing the importance of the god Anubis in the Egyptian belief system. The use of perspective and the careful application of red pigment in the reliefs create a stunning visual effect, transporting us back to the rich history and religious practices of ancient Egypt. This image is a testament to the enduring allure of Egyptian art and the profound impact of ancient Egyptian mythology on our collective cultural consciousness.
