17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "A Chic Smoke Break: 1920s Winter Fashion Icons in Soft Woollen Suits and Suede Coats". Step back in time to the roaring twenties, an era of glamour, sophistication, and style, as we explore the winter fashion trends captured in this stunning illustration by renowned fashion artist Gordon Conway. The first outfit showcases a soft, elegant woollen suit in a muted green hue, accessorized with a matching kasha scarf and gloves. The suit's tailored lines and subtle texture convey a sense of understated elegance, perfect for the discerning fashionista of the 1920s. The second ensemble features a striking red suede coat, complete with a matching scarf and waistcoat. The rich, velvety texture of the suede adds a luxurious touch to the outfit, while the bold, vibrant color makes a statement. The models share a cigarette, an iconic symbol of the era's decadence and sophistication. This illustration, published in Tatler magazine in November 1929, offers a glimpse into the historical significance of these winter fashions. The soft woollen suit and the suede coat were popular imports during this period, reflecting the growing influence of European trends on British fashion. The matching accessories and the shared cigarette further emphasize the height of sophistication and camaraderie among the fashionable elite. Gordon Conway's masterful illustration captures the essence of the 1920s winter fashion scene, offering a captivating and timeless representation of an era that continues to inspire and captivate us today.
