17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative image, Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582), the renowned Spanish Carmelite nun and mystic, is depicted as a supplicant, deeply engrossed in prayer and reception of divine inspiration. Teresa, known for her intense spiritual experiences and visions, is often depicted with a visionary expression, as if in the midst of a mystical encounter. The photograph captures Teresa in a humble and reverent posture, her eyes closed, and her hands pressed together in prayer. She is dressed in the traditional habit of the Carmelite Order, with the distinctive scapular and veil. The serene expression on her face and the peaceful surroundings add to the sense of contemplation and communion with the divine. The background of the photograph features a tranquil landscape, with rolling hills, clouds, and a clear blue sky. A lone bird, perhaps symbolizing the Holy Spirit, hovers above Teresa, its wings outstretched in the form of a dove. The bird's presence underscores the idea of Teresa's spiritual connection to the divine and the inspiration she is receiving. The photograph captures the essence of Teresa's spiritual journey and her deep commitment to her faith. As a visionary and a reformer, Teresa played a significant role in the revitalization of the Carmelite Order and the spread of the devotion to the Child Jesus. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of believers and seekers of the divine. This photograph is a beautiful reminder of the power of prayer, the importance of seeking spiritual guidance, and the profound impact that a deep connection to the divine can have on one's life. It is a testament to the enduring allure of the spiritual journey and the transformative power of faith.
