17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Piccadilly Circus at Midnight: A Vibrant Tableau of Edwardian London Nightlife by Tom Browne This photograph print, created by the renowned artist Tom Browne in 1929, transports us back to the electric and lively atmosphere of Piccadilly Circus during the Edwardian era. The scene is set at midnight, a time when the junction comes alive with the convergence of human life from all corners of London and beyond. At the heart of the image, the iconic statue of Eros, or the 'Prince of Wales's Angel,' rises above the bustling crowd, its wings outstretched as if to embrace the energy and excitement of the night. The statue, a symbol of love and desire, adds an air of romance and intrigue to the already vibrant tableau. The photograph captures the essence of the Edwardian period, an era marked by societal change, cultural innovation, and the emergence of modern urban life. The revellers in the image, dressed in their finest attire, represent the diverse and eclectic mix of people who flocked to Piccadilly Circus for an evening of entertainment, leisure, and social interaction. The lamplight casts an ethereal glow over the scene, illuminating the faces of the people and the intricate details of the buildings that surround the circus. The hustle and bustle of the nightlife is palpable, with the sounds of laughter, music, and the clatter of horse-drawn carriages filling the air. This photograph is a testament to the enduring allure of Piccadilly Circus and the magic of London's nightlife during the Edwardian era. Tom Browne's masterful composition invites us to step into the past and experience the energy and excitement of this iconic London landmark.
