23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Step back in time to the idyllic English countryside of the 1950s, where The Briars - Vegetarian Guest House in Crich, near Matlock, Derbyshire, welcomed weary travelers with open arms. Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Derbyshire, this unique establishment offered a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, providing a peaceful retreat for those seeking a vegetarian diet and a connection to nature. The print captures the charming facade of The Briars, with its ivy-covered walls and quaint gabled roof, as two cars are parked outside, their tires crunching on the gravel driveway. The tranquil scene is a testament to a simpler time, when a vegetarian diet was considered an unusual choice and a guest house that catered to this dietary preference was a rarity. The Briars was not just a place to eat, but a community of like-minded individuals who shared a passion for vegetarianism and a love for the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Guests could enjoy home-cooked vegetarian meals, prepared with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and spend their days exploring the nearby hills and picturesque villages. As you gaze at this image, you can almost hear the gentle sound of birdsong and the rustling of leaves in the breeze. The Briars - Vegetarian Guest House offers a glimpse into a bygone era, a time when the simple pleasures of good food, good company, and the great outdoors were enough to nourish both body and soul.
