31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This photograph captures the majestic Stirling Forth Bridge during the Victorian period, an engineering marvel of its time. Located in Stirling, Scotland, the bridge spans the River Forth and connects the towns of Stirling and Alloa. The image transports us back to the late 1800s, a time of great industrial and technological advancement. The bridge, completed in 1890, was designed by Sir John Baird and Sir Benjamin Baker, and is a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of the Victorian era. The suspension bridge, with its distinctive red-ochre hue, is adorned with intricate details, including ornate railings and decorative lanterns. These elements add to the bridge's grandeur and make it a popular tourist attraction even today. The photograph, part of The Keasbury-Gordon Photograph Archive Collection from Mary Evans Prints Online, offers a glimpse into the past, showcasing the bridge in its early days. The image is reminiscent of the Edwardian period, with its vintage aesthetic and old-world charm. The photograph's grainy texture and muted colors add to its authenticity and make it a valuable historical document. The photograph also reveals the bridge's picturesque surroundings, with the rolling hills and lush greenery of Scotland's countryside in the background. The scene is further enhanced by the presence of a horse-drawn carriage, adding to the sense of nostalgia and reminding us of a time when travel was slower and more romantic. This photograph is not only a beautiful work of art but also a historical document that provides us with a glimpse into the past. It is a reminder of the ingenuity, ambition, and creativity of the Victorian era and the enduring legacy of the Stirling Forth Bridge.
