17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

VISUAL DESCRIPTION
This is a vintage advertisement featuring Sir Malcolm Campbell, a renowned British racing motorist known for setting multiple land speed records in the early 20th century. The ad highlights his achievement of reaching 272 miles per hour and emphasizes that for the sixth time, he chose Castrol Wakefield Motor Oil. It also notes that a speed of 200 mph on land has never been exceeded without Castrol oil. The left side of the ad showcases illustrations of various record-setting vehicles used by Campbell over the years, with dates and speeds achieved during those record attempts ranging from 1925 to 1933. Each vehicle depicted represents a milestone in automotive engineering and speed achievements at that time. At the center top is an impressive figure "272 m. p. h. " which stands out as the pinnacle of his achievements mentioned in this ad. Below it is a portrait illustration of Sir Malcolm Campbell looking determined and confident—a testament to his status as an iconic figure in motorsport history. On the right-hand side, we see bold text proclaiming "FOR THE SIXTH TIME SIR MALCOLM CAMPBELL CHOSE" followed by "CASTROL" prominently displayed with its logo underneath. At the bottom, there's another strong statement: "200 M. P. H ON LAND HAS NEVER BEEN EXCEEDED WITHOUT CASTROL, " reinforcing Castrol's message about their product's reliability and performance connection with high-speed endeavors. Overall, this image serves not only as an advertisement but also as historical documentation celebrating human progress in technology and speed through one man’s remarkable accomplishments backed by Castrol motor oil.
