23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This image showcases a stylish woman adorned in chic attire from the Belle Époque and Art Deco eras. The woman wears a grey wool suit tailleur en cheviotte, accentuated by a crisp white Baptiste shirt. Her outfit is accessorized with a yellow straw hat, adding a touch of playfulness and elegance to her ensemble. The hat, adorned with black velvet ribbons and beige wool gaiters, complements the overall look. The tableau is set against a backdrop of exquisite porcelain tableware, featuring designs reminiscent of Saxe, Mennecy, Nymphenbourg, and Wedgwood. The teapot, plate, cup, and bowl, with their intricate patterns and vibrant colors, add an air of sophistication to the scene. The woman's attire is inspired by the fashion trends of the time, which were heavily influenced by the Orient and the Ballets Russes. The image is a handcoloured pochoir (stencil) etching after an illustration by Bernard Boutet de Monvel, published in Tommaso Antongini's Journal des Dames et des Modes in 1912. The art deco style and orientalist influences are evident in the intricate details of the woman's costume and the ornate tableware. The image is a testament to the Parisian chic of the era, with its blend of modern fashion and classic elegance. The woman's poised demeanor and refined appearance exude an air of confidence and sophistication, making this a truly stunning and timeless piece of art.
