17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Mill Scene

EDITORS COMMENTS
is an oil painting by the English artist Joseph Paul (1804-1887), depicting a tranquil and picturesque mill scene. The painting, created in the mid-19th century, showcases Paul's exceptional skill in capturing the beauty and serenity of rural life. The painting captures the essence of an English mill scene, with a quaint water mill nestled in a lush green valley. The mill, with its tall, wooden structure and large, circular water wheel, stands proudly against the backdrop of rolling hills and a clear, blue sky. The gentle flow of the river, which powers the mill, adds to the peaceful atmosphere, as it meanders through the landscape. Paul's use of light and color in this painting is truly remarkable. The warm, golden hues of the autumn leaves contrast beautifully with the cool, blue tones of the river and sky. The artist's attention to detail is evident in the intricate textures of the mill's wooden exterior, the rippling water, and the delicate foliage of the trees. Paul was a prolific painter, known for his landscapes and genre scenes. His works were widely exhibited in London and Norwich, where he spent much of his career. "Mill Scene" is a testament to Paul's ability to capture the beauty and charm of rural England, and remains a beloved work of art to this day. This stunning oil painting, with its intricate details and beautiful colors, is a must-have for any art collection. Whether displayed in a traditional or contemporary setting, "Mill Scene" is sure to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room.
