23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Shanklin Looking Towards Sandown, Isle of Wight
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating watercolour painting by the skilled hand of W.W. Quatremain, showcasing the picturesque coastal views of Shanklin and Sandown on the Isle of Wight in England. The scene is bathed in a soft, ethereal light, with the sun beginning to set, casting long shadows over the undulating hills and the tranquil waters of the English Channel. Quatremain masterfully captures the essence of the Isle of Wight's natural beauty, with its lush greenery, rolling hills, and the contrasting textures of the sandy beaches and rocky cliffs. The painting invites the viewer to take a moment to breathe in the serenity of the landscape, as the gentle waves lap against the shoreline and the seagulls cry in the distance. The quaint village of Shanklin can be seen in the foreground, with its charming thatched-roof cottages nestled amongst the trees. The eye is then drawn towards Sandown, with its sandy bay and colourful beach huts, stretching out towards the horizon. The painting is a testament to the timeless allure of the Isle of Wight, and a reminder of the simple pleasures that can be found in nature. Quatremain's "Shanklin Looking Towards Sandown, Isle of Wight" is a stunning example of traditional English landscape painting, and a must-have for any collection that celebrates the beauty of the British Isles. The watercolour technique allows for a delicate and intricate rendering of the scene, with each brushstroke bringing the landscape to life in a way that is both enchanting and enduring. This painting is a true masterpiece, and a reminder of the power of art to transport us to another place and time.
