23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Children Dressing Up and Playing
EDITORS COMMENTS
by Phyllis Purser This enchanting watercolor painting by Phyllis Purser captures the joy and imagination of childhood as a group of children engage in the timeless activity of dressing up and playing make-believe. The scene is set in a cozy, sunlit room filled with an assortment of colorful costumes and props, each child lost in their own world of fantasy. The eldest child, dressed as a pirate, stands proudly with a swashbuckler's swagger, while the youngest, dressed as a fairy, flutters her wings and gazes at her reflection in a mirror. The other children, dressed as a cowboy, a princess, and a clown, join in the fun, their faces alight with excitement and wonder. Phyllis Purser's expert use of watercolor creates a soft, dreamlike quality to the image, with the warm colors of the children's costumes contrasting against the muted tones of the background. The intricate details of the costumes and props add depth and texture to the painting, inviting the viewer to explore the scene further. The overall effect is one of warmth, nostalgia, and joy, transporting us back to the simple pleasures of childhood. Phyllis Purser (1913-1996) was a prolific British artist known for her watercolor paintings of children, animals, and landscapes. Her work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions, and continues to be popular among collectors and art lovers today.
