23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: Adoring the Virgin Mary at Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy 2. Description: This image showcases a detailed view of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie's magnificent facade in Milan, Italy, with a focus on the intricately decorated tympanum above the main entrance. The church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was initiated in the Gothic style by Guiniforte Solari in 1492 and later completed by the renowned architect Bramante in the early Renaissance period. 3. Background: The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is a significant Dominican convent and temple, housing Leonardo da Vinci's world-famous mural, "The Last Supper." This architectural masterpiece is a blend of the Gothic and Renaissance styles, with the exterior showcasing an impressive brick facade adorned with detailed sculptures and intricate designs. 4. Detail Analysis: In the foreground of this image, the tympanum is the central focus. The tympanum is a semicircular decorative element typically found above the main entrance of a classical or Gothic building. This particular one is richly decorated with a scene of the Adoration of the Child Jesus by the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. The Virgin Mary, depicted with an expression of tender love, holds the infant Jesus in her arms, while St. Joseph looks on with reverence. The scene is further embellished with intricate details, including the Latin letters inscribed around the medallion and the faces of the holy figures, which display a sense of peace and devotion. 5. Historical Significance: The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is a testament to the rich artistic and architectural heritage of Milan and Italy during the 15th century. The combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles in the church's design reflects the transition from the Middle Ages to the modern age, making it a must-visit destination for history and art enthusiasts.
