17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This collection of German newspapers from the Weimar Republic era, displayed at the Jewish Museum Berlin, offers a poignant glimpse into the political and social climate of Germany during the 1920s and early 1930s. The newspapers featured in this image are the Berliner Zeitung Illustrirte, Der Spiegel Welf, and Beitbilder, all published in Berlin during the critical years of 1929, 1930, and 1932. The Weimar Republic, which existed from 1919 to 1933, was a period of significant political instability and economic hardship in Germany. This era was marked by the rise of extremist political parties, including the Nazi Party, which would eventually lead to the devastating events of World War II. The newspapers in this image reflect the contemporary issues of the time, with headlines covering a range of topics such as politics, economics, and culture. The Berliner Zeitung Illustrirte, for example, features a front-page article on the ongoing economic crisis and the impact it was having on the German people. Der Spiegel Welf covers the trial of a high-profile criminal case, while Beitbilder focuses on cultural events and societal trends. These newspapers provide valuable insights into the historical context of the Weimar Republic and offer a glimpse into the daily lives and concerns of the German people during this tumultuous period. The Jewish Museum Berlin, which houses this collection, is an essential institution for anyone seeking to understand the complex history of Germany and its Jewish community in the 20th century.
