17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Emiliano Zapata Salazar (1879-1919): A Defiant Icon of the Mexican Revolution This powerful portrait captures the unyielding spirit of Emiliano Zapata Salazar, a pivotal figure in the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). Born in the rural state of Morelos in 1879, Zapata rose to prominence as a charismatic leader of the peasant rebellion against the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz. With his distinctive moustache and piercing gaze, Zapata became a symbol of resistance and liberation for the oppressed rural communities of Mexico. The Mexican Revolution was a complex and multifaceted conflict that sought to overthrow the authoritarian rule of Porfirio Díaz and address the deep-rooted social and economic issues that plagued the country. Zapata's forces, known as the Liberation Army of the South, played a crucial role in the revolution, particularly in the region of Morelos. Despite his military successes, Zapata's leadership was not without controversy. Some critics accused him of being a bandit or a mere local caudillo, while others saw him as a champion of the people and a true revolutionary. Regardless of one's perspective, there is no denying the profound impact that Zapata had on Mexican history. This photographic reproduction offers a glimpse into the past, capturing the essence of a man who defied the status quo and inspired generations to fight for their rights and freedoms. Emiliano Zapata Salazar remains an enduring symbol of Mexican pride and resilience, a reminder of the power of the people to shape their own destiny.
