17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "A Jurassic Marvel: The Dactylioceras Ammonite - A Mesozoic Masterpiece from the Shores of North Yorkshire, England" 2.. This image showcases a beautifully preserved Dactylioceras ammonite, a characteristic and abundant fossil from the Lower Jurassic period discovered in the picturesque region of North Yorkshire, England. Measuring an impressive 9.5 cm in width, this mesmerizing mollusk is a testament to the rich marine life that once thrived in the European waters during the Mesozoic Era. The Dactylioceras ammonite, belonging to the family Dactylioceratidae, is a remarkable example of the Ammonoidea subclass within the Cephalopoda class, which includes both living and extinct ammonites and belemnites. The intricate, helically coiled shell of this cephalopod is adorned with delicate, ribbed sutures and a distinct, elongated, and slender siphuncle, which was once connected to the animal's soft body. This exquisite fossil, captured against a stark black background, offers a glimpse into the ancient world that existed over 180 million years ago. The Dactylioceras ammonite, along with countless other fossils, provides invaluable insights into the Earth's biosphere and the evolution of life on our planet. Paul Taylor and David Lewis, both esteemed experts in the field of paleontology, have dedicated their careers to the study and preservation of such fascinating fossils. Their tireless efforts, among those of countless other researchers, have expanded our understanding of the Mesozoic Era and the incredible diversity of life that once inhabited our world. This stunning photograph is a reminder of the wonders that lie hidden beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered and appreciated by generations to come.
